Is Indianapolis’ “Measured Marketing” initiative more than a new buzzword?
TechPoint recently announced a new initiative and has coined a new phrase: Measured Marketing. The Measured Marketing initiative is focused on defining, raising awareness and creating public acceptance of the many Indiana-based e-mail marketing firms, social media marketing firms, search engine optimization (SEO) firms, search engine marketing (SEM) firms, web analytics firms, Internet marketing firms and other organizations that capture, analyze and report on marketing results.
Upon reading the news, I was certainly intrigued by this new Measured Marketing phrase. However, when I stopped to think about it, Synergy has been focused on measurable marketing for so many years, we just never stopped to give it a name. We view our approach as being accountable to our clients and ourselves. And while we’re not a traditional marketing or advertising agency by any stretch of the imagination, we don’t consider ourselves a pure Internet marketing firm or interactive marketing agency either.
So, are we a measured marketing firm? We certainly fit the description. We’re basically a blend between an e-mail marketing firm, social media marketing firm, search engine optimization (SEO) firm, search engine marketing (SEM) firm, web analytics firm and Internet marketing firm because we utilize all of these new media avenues, along with being a brand development agency and a PR agency. This may sound simple, but at our core, we are a strategic marketing firm.
We applaud TechPoint’s efforts to generate awareness of the ROI-focused philosophies, analytics-based tools and the deep value measured marketing firms bring to the industry. In fact, our leading principle is “don’t do it if you can’t track it.” We help our clients track, measure and evaluate the effectiveness of their marketing investments. We accomplish this by benchmarking and tracking website performance, e-mail marketing performance, SEO rankings, link building strategies as well as blog and social media response.
Most importantly, we hold ourselves accountable to the ultimate key performance indicator: lead generation. The marketplace can call us a measured marketing firm, but at the end of the day, if we aren’t helping our clients move the revenue needle, we aren’t meeting expectation.
So, call it what you want.
