Bank’s College Loan Program Media Training Case Study

A large needed help training its management team to deliver key messages about a new loan program for college students. The executives would be using the talking points in a TV and radio advertising campaign, national public relations initiative and public speaking circuit. The bank wanted its leadership team to stick to the scripted messaging, yet personalize it to connect with college students and their parents. Synergy facilitated a full day media training program for the bank’s executive team. It included reviewing the approved key messages, learning ways to customize the script and delivering the talking points on camera. The intensive program included techniques and feedback on word choice, grammar, facial expression, eye contact, energy level, dress, grooming and body language. Each member of the leadership team had the opportunity to practice on-camera and replay the footage multiple times. At the end of a long, yet productive day, all of the participants performed well, felt confident and were prepared to the upcoming promotional campaign.
